Build a small wooden drawing machine that moves a pen over a rotating disc to trace repeating patterns. Its visible motor, belt and connecting arm let you explore how mechanical motion becomes a drawing.

  • This is one DIY kit requiring assembly, not a ready-to-use robot. The source parts photo shows wooden panels, a motor, battery holder, belt, gears, rods, fixings, pens and a small screwdriver; exact packing quantities are unconfirmed.
  • The source describes battery-powered motor operation. Battery type, required count and whether batteries are supplied are not confirmed by a packing list.
  • The assembled source diagram measures approximately 22 × 12 × 9 cm (length × width × height).
  • The existing source explains that changing belt placement and the connecting-arm angle changes the disc motion and pen path. Pattern examples illustrate possible arrangements, not guaranteed identical drawings.

What's included: One DIY wooden drawing-machine kit. Exact small-part quantities, pen colors, batteries and retail packaging are not confirmed.

How the mechanism works

The battery supplies the motor. Its pulleys and belt rotate the circular plate while the connecting rod moves the pen in an oval path. Together these motions create repeated lines. Assemble and adjust using the supplied instructions, and keep fingers clear of moving parts.
