Grit guide and positioning

Diamond labels: 240, 400, 600, 800, 1000 and 1500. Whetstone labels: 240, 400, 600, 1000 and 1200. Polishing labels: 3000, 5000, 6000, 8000 and 10000. Grit and abrasive names are supplier labels, not independently tested ratings.

The English gallery guide shows the cutting edge above the holder and the roller raised on a cutting board for a wide blade. Keep the knife secure and fingers clear. Disc dimensions, fit with other sharpener brands and suitability for every blade type are unconfirmed.
